This is a picture book that was donated to the Re-Enactment of the ‘Visiter’ Rescue.

Text and illustrations by Theresa Tomlinson.

 

It tells how the crew of the coal brig, Visiter were rescued in 1881. The lifeboat, Robert Whitworth was pulled for more than six miles over the cliff-tops from Whitby to Robin Hood’s Bay, through deep snow.
